JUNAGADH ASHRAM:
Established by Swami Shri Punitachariji about 25 years ago in the foothills of Girnar mountain range near Junagadh, Gujarat (India). Mount Girnar is said to be the home of great spiritual personages and yogis who at times have appeared to seekers in visions during meditation and sometimes in physical form also.
The physical surroundings of the Ashram are alluring and fascinating all the year round. There is an abundance of flowers and gardens with a huge grove of mango trees. Nature remains in full bloom with birds singing songs and cool breezes whispering in the ears.
The activities at the Ashram include group chanting followed by meditation.
There are lectures and satsang by Swamiji and sadhana is carried out by the seekers individually. Usually morning group chanting and sessions of meditation are carried out inside the meditation hall and the afternoon chanting and meditation take place under the canopy. Continuous chanting for 24 hours or more is normally done only inside the hall.
Seekers desirous of carrying out individual sadhana are allowed to stay in sadhana rooms with integral toilet facilities. These rooms face the Girnar mountain and offer a pleasing view.
Ashram is simple but elegant and totally non-sectarian. Its gates are open to each and every human being whatever sect or religion he/she might be adhering to. Seekers belonging to all the religions and castes live together, worship together and take their meals together . Every seeker is free to carry out his/her sadhana in accordance to the principles and directions of his/her own religion and Guru.
This Ashram provides free lodging and boarding to all seekers coming here for sadhana (Meditation).
